摘要: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the most aggressive form of primary brain tumors, contain small population tumor cells that carry cancer stem cell properties. These (BTSCs) are highly invasive and mobile, have capacity to self-renew, more resistant radiation chemotherapy. BTSCs can migrate away from sites microsatellite tumors. Thus, been proposed play a key role in progression, metastasis, recurrence. Recent studies indicate neural innate ability track down may even slow growth progression. therapeutic be developed by “arming” normal with genes cytotoxic glioma and, importantly, BTSCs. Studies currently underway explore this new approach treat GBM using cells.
