摘要: Diabetes mellitus is one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular disease and an important health issue worldwide. Long-term diabetes causes endothelial dysfunction, which in turn leads to diabetic vascular complications. Endothelium-derived nitric oxide a vasodilator large-size vessels, hyperpolarization smooth muscle cells mediated by endothelium plays central role agonist-mediated flow-mediated vasodilation resistance-size vessels. Although mechanisms underlying complications are multifactorial complex, impairment endothelium-dependent (EDH) would contribute at least partly initiation progression microvascular diabetes. In this review, we present current knowledge about pathophysiology impaired EDH animals humans. We also discuss potential therapeutic approaches aimed prevention restoration
