摘要: Connexins (Cxs) and pannexins (Panxs) are ubiquitous membrane channel forming proteins that critically involved in many aspects of vascular physiology pathology. The permeation ions small metabolites through Panx channels, Cx hemichannels gap junction channels confers a crucial role to these intercellular communication maintaining tissue homeostasis. This review provides an overview current knowledge with respect the pathophysiological large arteries, microcirculation, veins, lymphatic system platelet function. essential nature homeostasis is further emphasized by pathologies linked mutations polymorphisms genes.
