摘要: Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is a small, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA virus in the genus Enterovirus, family Picornavirus. It causes hand, foot and mouth disease infants children, which small percentage of cases progresses to central nervous system infection, ranging from aseptic meningitis fatal encephalitis. Sporadic EV71 infection occur throughout world, but large epidemics have occurred recently Southeast Asia China. There are currently no approved vaccines or antiviral therapies for prevention treatment infection. This paper reviews efforts develop against EV71.
