摘要: Investigations into serotonin transporter and anxiety depression have shown an association between stress, onset genotype. We investigated the relationship 5-HTTLPR genotype in a population with diabetes mellitus, condition associated high rates of stress depression. Participants were classified according to 'S' 'L' alleles as well modification single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs25531. The low-expression group (S or L(G) allele carriers) had significantly higher psychological distress (K10) scores (N=234, P=0.047). Subsequent analysis revealed that effect was related symptoms rather than symptoms. Furthermore, main not observed when SNP taken account. Findings suggest 5-HTTLPR/rs25531 is sample subjects diabetes.
