摘要: Color devices are not colorimetric. It follows then that some color correction must be done to map device RGBs XYZ’s. One common method involves finding the linear transform which takes spectral sensitivities as close XYZ matching curves possible (in least-squares sense). Thereafter, this is used XYZs. well known procedure statistically justified so long one assumes all spectra with positive and negative power equally likely occur i.e., maximally ignorant about world. In paper we point out stance unjustified since cannot physically occur. This leads us develop notion of maximal ignorance positivity assume everywhere likely. We demonstrate new delivers considerable benefits in terms improved correction.
