摘要: The Ets transcription factors represents a novel structural class of transacting proteins that have important roles in development, proliferation, and differentiation cells oncogenic transformation (1–3). At least 40 different sequences been identified both vertebrates invertebrates, representing approx 25 distinct proteins. gene family has not detected plants, fungi, or protozoans (4). founding member the family, v-Ets, was discovered some 15 yr ago as fusion protein with gag myb avian erythroblastosis retrovirus E26 (Ets = E twenty-six specific) (5, 6). is defined by highly conserved domain, comprising 84-90 amino acids folded into DNA binding structure, consisting three alpha helices four-stranded antiparallel beta sheet forming winged helix-turnhelix motif (7). most residues are those located hydrophobic core invariant arginines lysines make contacts specific bases phosphate backbone, respectively (8). More divergent present loops turns thought to confer specificity activity several (Ets-1, Ets-2, SAP-1, Elk, Net, ERM) also subject intramolecular autoinhibition flanking domain (2,4). Homologies within domains their localization divide superfamily related classes, shown Table 1.
