摘要: Objectives This review identified reports of acupuncture for childhood nocturnal enuresis, with the aim ascertaining whether is efficacious and or better than standard therapy treating enuresis. Materials Methods Studies children either gender <18 years age who received treatment were considered. The primary outcome measure was change in mean number wet episodes following treatment. Electronic searching supplemented by hand western medicine traditional Chinese (TCM) journals along English language alternative journals. Trials assessed quality sources bias. Meta-analysis performed overall weighted odds ratio (OR) associated 95% confidence interval (CI) computed using fixed effect model; Forest plot used to demonstrate results. Results Two hundred six abstracts identified, which 11 studies eligible data extraction. All trials low methodological quality. There some evidence that useful enuresis when conjunction other may also include a different form (OR 3.98, CI: 2.2–7.2). When one compared another there marked heterogeneity, implying forms are effective. Conclusion This provides tentative efficacy enuresis. Due studies, identify, parameters work best, lacking. More rigorous clearly warranted. © 2005 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
