摘要: Microemulsions are, in general, prepared by mixing water, a nonpolar «oil», and an amphiphile, either nonionic or ionic. In this paper we study the effect of replacing water another polar protic solvent, namely, formamide (FA). Because hydrocarbons are slightly more soluble FA than H 2 O, repulsive hydrophobic interaction between hydrocarbon tails amphiphiles is weaker O. As consequence, both mutual solubility cmc increase considerably upon O
