摘要: Background —Noradrenergic vascular hyper-responsiveness is a hallmark of essential hypertension. To evaluate whether nitric oxide plays role in the enhanced response to norepinephrine hypertension, we examined 32 hypertensives and 28 normotensives who were distributed 3 experimental series. Methods Results —In first series, measured forearm blood flow (FBF) infusion under control conditions during l-N-monomethylarginine (L-NMMA). Norepinephrine evoked dose-dependent vasoconstriction that was greater than (maximum FBF, −61±1 versus −51±1%; P Conclusions —Our data demonstrate noradrenergic hypertension dependent on an impairment activity realized through norepinephrine-induced oxygen free radical production.
