摘要: Malaria is a major global health problem, affecting mainly tropical and subtropical areas. In Brazil, in most cases, it was caused by Plasmodium vivax falciparum, respectively. can lead to severe complications like anemia, placental malaria, cerebral malaria others. When associated with lung, cause Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). The main problems of this syndrome are the presence inflammatory infiltrate, hemorrhages edema. It not known what starts development ARDS, but could be related adhesion molecules expressed parasite on surface erythrocyte membrane, or responses host. However, latest researches show new mechanisms involving neutrophils key establishment syndrome.
