摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects prenatal heroin exposure on offspring in postnatal behavioral development. Pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats were injected daily (s.c.) with 10mg/kg from gestational day 8 20. control dam received saline injections and pair-fed yoked a weight-matched heroin-treated dam. Litters culled eight ten pups weighed at (PND) 1, 8, 15, 22. Acoustic prepulse inhibition habituation parameters used for evaluating sensorimotor gating simple form learning respectively. Locomotor activity rearing assessed using photobeam system. All tests performed PND 21 23. Results showed that treatment significantly reduced maternal food intake, water consumption, weight gain. Both heroin-exposed groups marked reduction birth both male female when compared controls; however gain lower than group by 3 weeks postnatally, particularly pups. These also significant increase ambulation rate types decreased these as groups. present indicated could result retardation development learning. are sex related.
