摘要: Recent biological–biochemical and geological–geochemical data are inconsistent with the currently accepted view that early Precambrian fossil microbiotas evidence of oxygen-generating photosynthesis contributing free oxygen to environments. The alternative is atmospheric photodissociation, perhaps cyclic or periodic instability.
