摘要: Background—Depression is becoming an increasing concern in cancer patients because of its impact on quality life. Although risk factors having depression have been examined the literature, there has no research examining these older African American patients. Objective—This study explores demographic and illness-related Methods—Two hundred eighty-three were recruited from outpatient oncology clinics. These completed a questionnaire that included Geriatric Depression Scale as well sociodemographic characteristics medical information. χ 2 Tests, trend tests, logistic regression used to identify predict sample. Results—The overall prevalence sample was 27.2%. Younger age (<65 years), employment status, proximity family, multiple symptoms due or treatment independent predictors depression.
