摘要: Abstract Objective: Endometrial polyps are relatively common in all groups of women. More being diagnosed with the widespread use transvaginal ultrasound scanning and sonohysterography. The reported incidence malignancy is low. potential benefit a noninvasive technique to distinguish benign from malignant obvious. This study was undertaken evaluate endometrial by color flow Doppler histopathologic examination. Study design: an observational patients polyp on sonohysterography who underwent interrogation their subsequently polypectomy. Polyp volume, resistive index, pulsatility indication for scan (bleeding vs incidental), patient age were correlated type (nonfunctional, proliferative, secretory, hyperplastic, or malignant). Results: Of 61 studied, 42 (68.9%) scanned abnormal bleeding, 19 (31.1%) had discovered incidentally. There no statistically significant differences between histologic categories size polyp. nonfunctional significantly greater than any other group ( P Conclusion: data suggest that objective assessment blood impedance (resistive index) these cannot replace surgical removal pathologic evaluation predict type. Patients older less likely have vaginal bleeding. (Am J Obstet Gynecol 2002;186:669-74.)
