摘要: Background & Aims: Norfloxacin is highly effective in preventing spontaneous bacterial peritonitis recurrence cirrhosis, but its role the primary prevention of this complication uncertain. Methods: Patients with cirrhosis and low protein ascitic levels ( Results: administration reduced 1-year probability developing (7% vs 61%, P = .02), improved 3-month (94% 62%, .003) (60% 48%, .05) survival compared placebo. Conclusions: Primary prophylaxis norfloxacin has a great impact clinical course patients advanced cirrhosis. It reduces incidence peritonitis, delays development hepatorenal syndrome, improves survival.
