摘要: Methods for estimating tag loss and sightability of tags are presented. Rates were estimated metal several varieties plastic cattle ear in a long-term population study Weddell seals. Tags lost at higher rate the first year after application than subsequent years, pups older seals given same types. Medium-sized (Dalton, Allflex Fearing) retained rates overlooked less frequently on adult Dalton Jumbo Rototags showed lowest comparison to larger, flexible tags, but harder read field.
