摘要: Abstract In the past decade, techno-economic feasibility of using CO2 as a working fluid to harvest geothermal energy has been studied and demonstrated in both hot-dry rock deep brine aquifers. Potential resources have suggested by hydrogeological surveys North Oman area. Many depleting petroleum reservoirs this area provide excellent candidates geologic storage reservoirs, considering well-characterized sealed geological structures existing on-site infrastructure. study, we aim conduct comprehensive evaluation reservoir performances during sequestration circulation with possible field conditions foreland basin. Continuous response surfaces performance indicators are developed 1000 sequestration-circulation models. Each model input file is assigned set values sampled Latin-Hypercube method from high-dimensional parameter space bounded ranges key property parameters including dip angle, depth, permeability, thickness, lateral boundaries, fault temperature gradient. Using surfaces, indicators, injection, production, storage, leakage, well space, pressure, temperature, produced thermal flux, lifespan, quantitatively evaluated corresponding various represented parameters. The findings quantitative guidance on site selection, development operation, associated leakage risk assessment analysis for potential sequestration, exploration utilization basin other similar fields.
