摘要: Abstract The ophthalmic-maxillary trunk of the fifth cranial nerve was electrically stimulated in rabbits. regional blood flow measured with radioactively labelled microspheres, extravascular albumin content 125 I- and 131 I-labelled rabbit serum intraocular pressure transducers. total concentration aqueous humor immunoelectrophoretically. Stimulation caused an increase whole uvea cutaneous regions innervated by nerve. markedly increased ciliary processes iris but no change observed choroid. also rose around 80%. Miosis produced 15 21 eyes. It is concluded that electrical stimulation release agent or agents which usually induced miosis, vasodilation breakdown capillary epithelial barriers eye. least constant effect. Capillary damage did not seem to be related leakage probably due a distension abnormal fluid from capillaries.
