Fatalities are more likely driving compared non-drowsy crashes. In order assess state-level self-reported prevalence falling asleep while driving, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) analyzed data from a set questions about insufficient sleep administered through Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) during 2009–2010.
