摘要: The sponge Asbestopluma hypogea is unusual among sponges due to its peculiar carnivorous feeding habit. During various stages of nutrition cycle, the subjected spectacular morphological modifications. Starved animals are characterized by many elongated filaments, which crucial for capture prey. After capture, and during digestion process, these filaments actively regress before being regenerated a subsequent period starvation. Here, we demonstrate that events rely on highly dynamic cellular turnover, implying coordinated sequence programmed cell death (apoptosis autophagy), proliferation migration. A candidate niche renewal stem differentiation was identified at base peduncle, higher levels BrdU/EdU incorporation. Therefore, BrdU/EdU-positive cells peduncle motile responsible regeneration prey-capturing main body, i.e. filaments. Altogether, our results dynamics in appear be regulated mechanisms as multiple complex those already bilaterian metazoans.
