摘要: To ensure ship safety, safety culture is a critical factor in the organization of shipping companies. The climate has been evaluated to determine level particular group’s culture. This study investigated South Korean seafarers’ awareness compare whether there are differences between those who work on ships engaged domestic and international voyages. In latter, reinforced regulations applied. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 261 seafarers using seven indicators representing used aviation maritime fields. Results showed that ocean-going navigation had higher management involvement, organizational commitment, learning, reporting systems, which yielded more positive effects than navigation. However, this did not significantly affect communication or employee empowerment. methodology can be as an effective measure assess climate; thus, it possible prepare policies educational programs aimed at improving safety.
