摘要: Individual spatial positioning plays an important role in mediating the costs and benefits of group living, thus shapes different aspects animal social systems including structure cohesiveness. I aimed to quantify variation individual spacing behavior its correlates a wild patas monkeys (Erythrocebus patas) living north Cameroon. collected data on inter-individual distances during scans when following subject females. Individuals had longer non-birth season than birth season. Dominance relationships little effect between females both seasons. The results suggest that cohesion was higher Thus conclude may reduce predation risk infants.
