Direct measurement of the dispersion of the electrogyration coefficient of photorefractive Bi12GeO20 crystals

摘要: We report on the direct measurement of electrogyration coefficient Bi12GeO20 sillenite crystals over visible spectral range. The is directly measured a (111)-cut crystal for which electro-optic and electrogyratory effects are decoupled. precision method various parameters including absorption misorientation examined. value found to vary from 0.37±0.03to0.05±0.01pm∕V 460–760-nm spectrum range, within upper boundaries that have been specified in previous experiments. It also follows dispersion law optical activity refractive index.
