摘要: Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is the commonest form of presenile and senile dementia currently affects about 1.3 to 6.2% population over 65 (Mortimer, 1983). The insidious onset takes a gradually progressive course involving short term memory impairments, cognitive disturbance ultimately results in mute inattentive patient incapable caring for him or herself (DSM-III-R, 1980). average duration disease from death 5 years but much longer durations are possible e.g. up 30 years.
