摘要: Background: Risk factors associated with invasive breast cancer are well documented, but those carcinoma in situ not defined. Methods: We conducted a population-based, case-control study among female residents of Connecticut to identify risk for situ. Case patients, diagnosed ductal (DCIS) (n = 875) or lobular (LCIS) 123), were matched by 5-year age groups control subjects 999). patients between September 15, 1994, through March 14, 1998, and all the ages 20 79 years. Information on cancer-screening history was collected telephone interviews. Conditional logistic regression used determine odds ratios (ORs) association these DCIS LCIS. Results: more likely than report family (OR 1.48; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.19 1.85) previous biopsy 3.56; CI 2.86 4.43). They also had fewer full-term pregnancies 0.86; 0.80 0.93) older at first pregnancy being 20-29 years old relative <20 1.68; 1.17 2.43) menopause ≥55 <45 1.71; 1.05 2.77). case have mammographic examination 2.46; 1.78 3.40) an annual clinical 1.83; 1.48 2.26). did differ respect oral contraceptive use, hormone replacement therapy, alcohol consumption smoking history, self-examination. Associations LCIS similar. Conclusions: The similar cancer. Diagnosis is increased mammography screening.
