Eradication of initial Pseudomonas aeruginosa colonization in patients with cystic fibrosis.

摘要: The optimal treatment for the eradication of initial P. aeruginosa infection in CF is still unclear. Recently long-term inhaled tobramycin has been proposed. Here we report results with brief and/or systemic anti-pseudomonal treatments. Initial colonization was successfully eradicated as demonstrated by negative repetitive throat cultures or sputa and serum antipseudomonal antibodies 15 17 patients at least two years.
