摘要: of new-onset diabetes mellitus (NODM). Methods: The study was conducted for a period 2 months from July 2014 to August 2014. In this cross-sectional observational study, non-diabetic subjects, who were on statin therapy more than recruited. Participants having previous records results diagnostic tests blood glucose levels (before starting therapy) such as random sugar (RBS), fasting sugar, and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) values within normal range included in the that taken baseline value. Then another measurement same repeated when they enrolled into study. Results Discussion: Of 22 3 subjects rosuvastatin remaining 19 atorvastatin. Among 17 had symptoms hyperglycemia polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia, etc. after treatment with statins. It has been found statins increases risk new NODM (27%) there significant rise mean red blue green (RBG) therapy. Furthermore, statistically HbA1c doses increased. duration body mass index type have not significantly influenced values. Conclusion: cardiovascular disorders clearly established accepted. Their benefit is undeniable; however, need be caution care. Physicians should aware adverse drug reaction due monitor glycemic control status patients during their regular follow-up period.
