摘要: It is widely proposed that microbial factors may incite autoimmune disease. While this hypothesis proven in a few illnesses such as rheumatic fever, there no definitive evidence of an infectious environmental trigger Sjogren’s syndrome. However, are circumstantial data with regard to viruses and several potential mechanisms These include antigen mimicry, polyclonal lymphocyte activation infection mediated innate end-organ inflammation. In addition, hepatitis C virus clearly causes Sjogren’s-like illness.
