摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter reviews the past work on disease resistance breeding in chickpea and discusses strategies to tackle unsolved problems. Methods for disease-resistant cultivars are similar those used yield breeding, except that segregating materials have been challenged by pathogen selection is made along with other attributes. Some of techniques employed breeders include hybridization mutation. Chickpea grown primarily resource-poor farmers residual moisture little if any inputs. The short growing season at lower latitudes (0–20◦) also limits yields. fast-rising temperatures reproductive phase force crop into premature drying. Thus, yields low (less than one t/ha). At present productivity levels, use appears be best alternative management diseases.
