摘要: Aims:  To investigate the molecular basis for serotype variation in Vibrio cholerae O1 and genetic relatedness amongst different serotypes isolated from 2004 to 2008 Iran. Methods Results:  Despite presence of all three V. cholerae (Ogawa, Inaba Hikojima) Iran last decade, strains have been dominated serotype. Sequence analysis wbeT determined only a single substitution G A at position 295 resulting replacement serine proline. No difference was found copy numbers profile IS1004 between classical El Tor strains, supporting clonality isolates obtained over 5 years Iran. In addition, Southern blots HpaII-digested chromosomal DNAs our Ogawa showed an incomplete isolates. Conclusions:  profiling can be reliable method clonal dissemination V. cholerae. The results indicated that specific point mutation particular within may occur which, turn, result switching. Significance Impact Study:  Understanding conversion their could give insights incoming cholera epidemic prediction control.
