摘要: The probability of synaptic neurotransmitter release from nerve terminals is regulated by presynaptic receptors responding to transmitters released the same terminal or other neurons. glutamate, major excitatory neurotransmitter, suppressed autoreceptors. Here we show that a metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR7) in rat hippocampus restricted grid, site vesicle fusion. Pyramidal cell mGluR1alpha-expressing interneurons have at least ten-fold higher level mGluR7 than making synapses with pyramidal cells and types interneuron. Distinct levels are found different made individual axons even single boutons. These results raise possibility neurons could regulate transmitter according postsynaptic target.
