Interaction of Zn 2+ with extraframework aluminum in HBEA zeolite and its role in enhancing n-pentane isomerization

摘要: Abstract The electrodeposition method was used to produce Zn 2+ cation precursors, followed by the introduction of precursors HBEA ion exchange technique. cations slightly changed specific surface area and crystallinity HBEA. IR, XPS solid state MAS NMR results showed that interacted with (AlO) + extraframework aluminum form Zn(OAl ) 2 simultaneously induced formation bridging hydroxyl groups, Si(OH)Al. pyridine adsorbed IR study revealed presence fully eliminated weak partially strong Bronsted acid sites. As a result, relatively Lewis sites were formed in which probe molecule desorbed at 623 K below. enhanced catalytic activity n -pentane isomerization due sites; may facilitate maintenance active protonic through hydrogen spillover mechanism. At 598 K, yield isopentane for Zn-HBEA 25.7% higher than Within reaction temperature range 373–648 K, apparent activation energy over 118.76 90.79 kJ/mol, respectively.
