摘要: Abstract Adsorption processes have long been used in water and wastewater treatment a deterministic approach has often adopted for the analysis of fundamental mechanisms. In this research, new based on statistical modelling data is trichloroethylene (TCE) adsorption granular activated carbon (GAC) from synthetic groundwater. The work starts an experimental aimed at assessment influence thermodynamic parameters (concentration, pH, salinity, temperature presence organic non-ionic compound, i.e. ethyl acetate) TCE capacity. A wide range process considered to simulate highly polluted groundwater, as when leachate infiltrations occur solid waste landfill. Experimental results show that capacity decreases by increasing acetate concentration, while neither pH nor salinity any influence. thorough understanding mechanism individuation model with highest physical mathematical significance carried out methodology Analysis Variance (ANOVA). latter indicates dilute solutions Freundlich best fitting adsorption, among those which are commonly adopted.
