Odontometrical method useful in determining gender and dental alignment.

摘要: Rao et al.'s method of sex determination, which considers the mandibular canine index (MCI) is one giving satisfactory results. However, they did not take occlusion into consideration. The aim this study, therefore, was to evaluate effectiveness with respect tooth alignment. study population involved students enrolled in University Nice-Sophia Antipolis. Two hundred and ten girls 214 boys were randomly sampled (1/20). Both sizes dental arches measured using a vernier calliper calculate MCI for both sexes. results compared standard MCI, taking account alignment.Rao can only be used case correct lower-anterior alignment by local population.
