摘要: Wyner-Ziv (WZ) coding of video utilizes simple encoders and highly complex decoders. A transcoder from a WZ codec to traditional can potentially increase the range applications for codecs. We present scheme most popular architecture differential pulse code modulation/discrete cosine transform codec. As proof concept, we implemented this using pixel-domain standard H.263+. The design aims at reducing complexity as large amount computation is saved by reusing motion estimation, calculated side information generation process, l-frame streams. New approaches are used generate map vectors transcoder. Results presented demonstrate performance.
