摘要: Abstract This paper proposes a new FE-based approach for modelling all of the possible damage modes in glass/carbon UD hybrid laminates tensile loading. The development is modelled by two sets cohesive elements, (i) periodically embedded carbon layer fibre failure and (ii) at interface to capture delamination. analysis stopped when glass predicted integrating stress distribution over calculate an equivalent unit volume glass. proposed method validated against experimental results then used simulate progressive process other configurations finally produce damage-mode map this material set. can easily be applied hybrids assess their performance producing maps.
