摘要: Abstract Fossil energy depletion and fight against climate change force humanity to decarbonize the economy. By year 2050 CO 2 emissions will have reduce globally at least 85%, probably over 95% in developed countries. The modeling of transportation people commodities Basque Autonomous Community (Spain) 2008 has allowed us draw some conclusions about challenges ahead. exploration several scenarios modeled order consumption transport shows that mobility a decarbonized world be more efficient, electrified when moving freight on land, based renewable generation, organized such way guarantees very high occupancies vehicles. All these elements indispensable, even not sufficient if they are still complemented with reduction absolute terms, so economic intensity—the ratio between whole activity—recovers levels seen four decades ago, prior development present hypermobility.
