摘要: The human thromboxane A2 gene, present as a single copy, spans over 15 kilobases (kb) and contains 3 exons divided by 2 introns. first intron, intron 1, exists in the 5'-noncoding region, 83 base pairs upstream from ATG start site is 6.3 kb long. Intron with length of 4.3 located at end sixth transmembrane thereby separating it downstream coding sequences including seventh region 3'-untranslated region. By rapid amplification 5'-cDNA ends, transcription initiation sites starting two different putative promoter regions were determined. In 5'-flanking these sites, no typical TATA box exists. major promoter, I, four potential SP-1 binding several for other factors. polymerase chain reaction analysis, small portion RNA transcribed this gene was shown to contain an additional 115-base pair long noncoding exon, exon 1b, which 1. No detectable, indicating that type receptor protein encoded gene. Chromosomal localization carried out fluorescence situ hybridization cloned genomic DNA metaphase chromosome. assigned 19p13.3
