摘要: Transition phase has been defined as the period of life starting in late puberty and ending with full adult maturation. This extends over approximately 6 to 8 years. A number quantitative qualitative changes occur during this both physical psychic aspects, which are characterized by attainment height body composition, peak bone mass, reproductive potential and, finally, psychosocial characteristics inherent adults. We should remember effects exerted growth hormone (GH) throughout a subject on metabolism, cardiac function structure, bone, composition quality life. However, there controversial data need continue GH therapy transition no discontinuation. also take into account that is group patients who develop deficiency period. Even if clear evidence against discontinuation after completion period, be previously reevaluated confirm severe enough warrant continuation therapy. The response many these issues may obtained from long-term randomized observational studies conducted specialized multidisciplinary teams.
