摘要: Objective: Healthcare accessibility is necessary to achieve good health outcomes. However, access healthcare can be decreased due distance centres, high costs, or waiting lists. The present study explored if there a gender gap related constraints. Methods: We performed cross-country transversal investigate the existence of gender-related constraints using Mann-Whitney U tests. research was based on self-reported unmet needs for medical examination barriers according Eurostat. examined annual observations from 2005 through 2011 eight European countries: Greece, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and United Kingdom. Conclusions: found with females more likely have such needs. difference in mean values statistically significant Greece (5.17% vs. 3.59%; p = .007), France (1.80% 1.23%; Ireland (1.53% 1.13%; .011), Italy (4.39% 2.99%; .004).
