摘要: BACKGROUND TCF7L2 rs7903146 C>T polymorphism is associated with diabetes in the general population but its independent impact on cardiovascular disease debated. On this basis, we investigated association major adverse cardiac events (MACE) a single-center cohort of non-diabetic kidney transplant recipients (KTRs). METHODS Patients pretransplant were excluded and patients who developed post-transplant censored at time diagnosis. RESULTS appeared to modulate risk MACE: 5-year prevalence was 0.8% CC patients, 7.2% CT 9.7% TT (P T into model based these clinical variables significantly increased predictive power for MACE (P=.003). CONCLUSIONS allele may be strongly independently KTRs. These findings suggest possibility employing SNP more accurately stratify cardiological
