摘要: Objective. The aim of this study was to assess the influence implant-abutment interface (IAI) placement depths on peri-implant tissues in presence ligature-induced inflammation. Materials and Methods. Two implants with screwed-in IAIs (SI) two tapped-in (TI) were inserted one side mandible six dogs eight weeks after tooth extraction. Four experimental groups constituted: SI placed crestally, 1.5 mm subcrestally, TI crestally subcrestally. After 12 weeks, healing abutments connected. later, cotton floss ligatures around promote plaque accumulation. Clinical radiographic examinations performed at 0, 6 ligature placement. effects IAI clinical parameters assessed. Results. alterations probing depths, attachment levels, distances from first bone-implant contact (IAI-fBIC) infrabony defect significant larger subcrestal compared crestal during accumulation period. IAI-fBIC, depth horizontal bone loss not significantly different between Conclusion. Tissue destruction may be more serious than that inflamed mucosa.
