摘要: Objectives Cognition is a new treatment target to aid functional recovery and enhance quality of life for patients with bipolar disorder. The International Society Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) Targeting Task Force aimed develop consensus-based clinical recommendations on whether, when how assess address cognitive impairment. Methods task force, consisting 19 international experts from nine countries, discussed the challenges in face-to-face meeting, telephone conference call email exchanges. Consensus-based were achieved through these exchanges no need formal consensus methods. Results identified questions were: (I) Should screening assessments be routinely conducted settings? (II) What are most feasible tools? (III) implications if impairment detected? (IV) perspectives? Key that clinicians: formally screen cognition partially or fully remitted whenever possible, use brief, easy-to-administer tools such as Screen Cognitive Impairment Psychiatry Complaints Disorder Rating Assessment, evaluate impact medication comorbidity, refer comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation clinically indicated, encourage build reserve. Regarding question (IV), there limited evidence current evidence-based treatments but intense research efforts underway identify pharmacological and/or psychological treatments. Conclusions This force paper provides first clinicians when, cognition, which may patients' improve their life.
