摘要: Cytoglobin (CYGB), a novel member of the globin family, has been shown to be upregulated in response hypoxia, oxidative stress and fibrogenesis. Presented here is evidence CYGB expression within cells fibrotic lesions taken from patients with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) Chronic Obstructive Disease (COPD). staining was observed fibroblasts, endothelial cells, type II pneumocytes, I haematopoietic stem inflammatory which were identified using cell specific markers. Cell types express other members including smooth muscle red blood negative for CYGB. Fibroblasts consistently positive lesion, more variable at edge. This study also provides an increase hypoxic vitro; however there no cytoprotection over these insults. There presented that fibrosis previously reported literature, likely relate environment lesion influx fibroblasts are positive. have role oxygen redox homeostasis.
