Overload, autonomy, and burnout as predictors of physicians' quality of care.

摘要: A model in which perceived overload and burnout mediated the relations of workload autonomy with physicians' quality care to their patients was examined. The study based on data from 890 specialists representing six medical specialties. Including global as well its three first-order facets physical fatigue, cognitive weariness, emotional exhaustion improved fit between structural relative an alternative that included only burnout. Workload (number work hours) indirectly predicted through overload. Additionally, authors found paths first order factors exhaustion, weariness negatively, positively, nonsignificantly, respectively.
