摘要: Little is known about the potentially disrupting effects of wind farms on habitat connectivity flying vertebrates at landscape scale. We developed a regional-scale model to assess farm impact bat migration and commuting routes. The was implemented for Nyctalus leisleri in region central Italy currently undergoing considerable development. A Species Distribution Model (SDM) N. generated using MaxEnt algorithm based 47 presence records (reduced 19 after autocorrelation procedure) 10 environmental variables derived from topographic land cover maps. used SDM create map software UNICOR identify potential corridors (PCCs). incidence each flight assessed by overlaying existing (380) planned (195) turbine locations onto PCCs. statistically robust (AUC > 0.8). Most were concentrated western part region, which hosts largest suitable areas species; most (54 %) (72 %) interfered with important connecting eastern parts region. Our results provide key information industry biodiversity regional novel approach adopted, analysis, could be easily extended other landscapes constitutes promising planning tool necessary harmonizing development renewable energy infrastructures issues conservation.
