摘要: Epigenetic silencing and inappropriate activation of gene expression are frequent events during the initiation progression cancer. These involve a complex interplay between hypermethylation CpG dinucleotides within promoter enhancer regions, recruitment transcriptional corepressors deacetylation and/or methylation histone tails. epigenetic regulators act in concert to block transcription or interfere with maintenance chromatin boundary regions. However, DNA/histone acetylation states reversible, enzyme-mediated processes as such, have emerged promising targets for cancer therapy. This review will focus on potential benefits synergistic/additive effects combining DNA-demethylating agents deacetylase inhibitors lysine-specific demethylase together therapy solid tumors highlight what is known regarding mechanisms action that contribute antitumor response.
