摘要: Medicare and most insurance companies have approved reimbursement for F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) imaging patients who lymphoma. The instruments methods are described in Chapter 34. In brief, the fast 6 h intravenously administered 10–15 mCi (370–550 MBq) of FDG. After resting a quiet warm environment, patient is imaged from base skull to midthighs. use combined PET/computed (CT) improves diagnostic accuracy, reduces number false-positive results, also increases throughput (1).
