摘要: High quality jet noise spectral data measured at the Aeroacoustic Propulsion Laboratory NASA Glenn Research Center is used to examine a number of scaling laws. Configurations considered in present study consist convergent and convergent-divergent axisymmetric nozzles. Following work Viswanathan, velocity power factors are estimated using least squares fit on density as function temperature observer angle. The regression parameters scrutinized for their uncertainty within desired confidence margins. As an immediate application laws, supersonic jets decomposed into respective components attributed mixing broadband shock associated noise. Subsequent method intensity shows that latter also scales with some parameter. A modified parameter defined order reduce dependency nozzle design point margins method.
